"I've been going to the Ashtanga yoga classes at Islamorada Fitness with Krissy Bohnstedt for several months now and I love it! Krissy is amazing. She is patient and extremely knowledegable, always reminding us what we should be striving for in each pose. She helps us get into the postures when we need help and she always reads an inspirational part of any assortment of yoga books or the Yoga Sutras when we are in "resting posture" at the end of class. I think this is everyone's favorite part of the practice. The repeated wisdom of these readings helps me to remember what is truly important. The group of women that come (men are welcome, too) to the classes are so down to earth and friendly that it is an experience I'm always eagerly looking forward to. Unlike every other type of exercise routine that I've ever done, I truly enjoy Ashtanga yoga. And actually, it is far more than an "exercise routine". It is a way of life. Any level of practitioner can come to the classes and in time it gets easier and easier. I've gained new energy, confidence and I've even lost weight since I've been going. But above all I am becoming more balanced in my daily life. Little by little the body is transformed and the mind becomes more steady, more patient, and more at peace.
